Dialogue Script #1

A meet-cute at a rundown grocery store between two characters, Bishop and Daniel, to demonstrate my passion for the romance genre as well as my experience writing cutscene scripts. Bishop is a a wholly good, pragmatic, knowledgeable scholar with his sincerity being one of his strongest features, and Daniel is a bluntly honest man who’s harsh towards others but slowly warms up if he enjoys their company.

A link to the first draft of this script to show my process. I originally thought the side plot of Bishop buying the wine for a colleague was a trivial addition that didn’t add to Bishop and Daniel’s relationship, which is the main focal point, so I cut it out. I also wanted to add some tension by including Bishop dropping the bottle of wine onto the floor, which then shows where the cutscene will end up. At the coffee shop Daniel’s taking them to.

Dialogue Script #2

A post-battle cutscene involving two ex-lovers, Willow and Aaliyah, with Willow being the victor. Aaliyah is power-hungry, driven, riddled with insecurities, and uses her ice magic to enthrall innocents to see a world where she runs supreme. Willow is passive and would avoid conflict before Aaliyah decided to try ruling the world with an icy fist, and she is one of the people leading the fight against Aaliyah.
